With the addition of rubber bushings comes derivatives. It not only absorbs and isolates vibrations through deformation when the road surface is uneven, but also deforms when there are dynamic changes in steering, braking, acceleration, etc. The deformation at this time brings two effects: one is suspension The deformation characteristics of the suspension, that is, the “C” characteristic in the K&C characteristics (about this point, I have described it in more detail in my previous article); the second is to change the frequency characteristics of the suspension, or the response to the driving operation Performance.
Although these two derivative effects were not the original intention of the bushing being invented, they were slowly utilized by engineers. For example, when our car drives over the speed bump, the deformation of the bushing can make the wheel retreat slightly, and the impact will be smaller.
